Email Whitelist Setup

Add @maco.jfn.ac.lk to your safe senders list

Why Whitelist Our Emails?

To ensure that MaCoSIS-UOJ emails are delivered to your inbox and don't end up in spam, please add us to your safe senders list by following the step-by-step instructions below.

Gmail

Creating a Filter:

  1. 1 In the search bar at the top of the page, click the downward arrow for more options.
  2. 2 In the "From" field, enter @maco.jfn.ac.lk
  3. 3 Click "Create filter with this search" at the bottom of this dropdown window.
  4. 4 Choose "Never send it to Spam".
  5. 5 Click "Create filter".

Moving emails to Primary Inbox:

Method 1: Go to Updates/Promotions tab, open a MaCoSIS-UOJ email, click "Labels" and untick Updates/Promotions.

Method 2: Drag the email from Updates/Promotions tab to Primary tab and click "Yes" when prompted.

Outlook (Windows Live Hotmail)

  1. 1 Log in and click the "Settings" icon at the upper right-hand corner. Choose "More Mail Settings".
  2. 2 Under "Preventing junk email" section, click "Domain to mark as safe".
  3. 3 Click "Safe senders".
  4. 4 In the "Sender or domain to mark as safe" field, enter @maco.jfn.ac.lk and click "Add to list".

Yahoo Mail

  1. 1 Log in and click the "Settings" icon at the upper right-hand corner. Click "Settings".
  2. 2 Under "Filters" section, click "Add".
  3. 3 In the "Sender" field, enter @maco.jfn.ac.lk, choose "Inbox" as destination folder, and click "Save".

Mac Mail

  1. 1 From your inbox, open an email from MaCoSIS-UOJ.
  2. 2 In the "From" line, click on the sender name to bring up an options box.
  3. 3 Choose "Add to Contact" from the dropdown menu.

Other Email Providers

For other email providers, the general process is:

  1. 1 Look for "Settings" or "Options" in your email client.
  2. 2 Find "Safe senders", "Whitelist", or "Spam filters" section.
  3. 3 Add @maco.jfn.ac.lk to the safe senders list.
